Kathakali, Kerala’s 400-year-old classical dance-drama, evolved in the courtyards of Hindu temples as an offering to the divine.

Step into a world of majestic colors, rhythm, and storytelling as Kathakali comes alive on stage. With its towering headgear, painted faces, intricate mudras, and soulful music, Kathakali is not just a performance—it is an immersion into India’s timeless spiritual and artistic heritage

Stories presented

Kuchelavritham – Kuchelavritham portrays the touching story of Kuchela’s humble devotion and Lord Krishna’s boundless grace, brought to life through the expressive art of Kathakali.  This story comes from the Bhagavata Purana.

Kiraatham – Kiraatham depicts the fierce encounter between Arjuna and Lord Shiva in the guise of a hunter, showcasing valor, divine testing, and Kathakali’s powerful martial expression. The Kirata Arjuna Samvadam episode is from the Mahabharata, specifically the Vana Parva

Performance Highlights

The performance features a rich array of traditional Kathakali veshams (costume styles)

Through intricate mudras (hand gestures), expressive rasas (emotions), and dynamic choreography, the performers bring to life the spiritual and emotional depth of these timeless stories from the Purana and Mahabharata.
